Surprise
It always comes a surprise
when you fall
and you tell yourself,
Now I know and this won’t happen next time.
and you live on
you laugh
and you ache
and your forget, we all do.
and another fall comes out of nowhere
like the heat wave in the middle of a cold fall
to remind you
life would be dull without these surprises
and you go for a walk
enjoying the warm sun on your skin.
It always comes a surprise
some may hurt
some may make you laugh
some give
and some take away.
